Rare 1967 Gretsch Viking model 6187 guitar with original hardshell case (in great shape, all latches working, fluffy interior with no mildew).   I mentioned "White Falcon" in the title as this model is basically a White Falcon with a sunburst finish.  Purchased from second owner, a keyboard player who played it very little and who purchased it from the original owner who also played it very little.  The 2008 Vintage Guitar Price Guide show a value of $3300.00--$4000.00 on this model so this one is price to move!  Original frets show a little wear on the lower frets but not much.  Just setup/intonated and it plays and sounds great with low action!  Also given a good clean, polish/fret polish  by Master Luthier Matt Rubendall (mattrubendall.com). The ebony fingerboard has no noticable wear.  A few finish flakes on the back of the neck.  When this model came it it was one of the top of the line Gretsch guitars, and was in fact second in line after the White Falcon!   It was actually created by Gretsch as a guitar with similar features to the White Falcon but slightly more affordable.   Does not have the usual binding issues/decay, just one tiny brown spot appearing on edge of  one cutaway (see pic.)  Guitar is NOT in need of a neck re-set unlike many Gretsches of this era.   No cracks in pickguard.  Some wear on gold plating and deterioration of foam string mute.  Has original Bigsby tremelo system but the arm was replaced with recent chrome Bigsby arm  A great deal on a great Gretsch guitar!  Buy it now!!!  <P>Payment via Paypal, wire transfer, money order or certified check due within one week of the end of auction.  Shipping is 50 dollars with insurance included to the lower 48 states.  Shipping costs on a case-by-case basis for the non-continental US (Alaska, HI).   I will not ship this item without insurance. If paid via Paypal , wire transfer or USPS money order will take to shippers within 2 business days of payment.  For items paid for with other types of money order/certified check seller may wait a few days extra for funds to consolidate in the bank before taking the item to shippers.
