Made from lightweight composite, the Collectors’ Lyracord GS body produces maximum acoustic response, with the feel of a smaller body instrument. Along with the ground-breaking Deep Contour bowl, the guitar features a 5-piece Mahogany/Maple neck in Natural Gloss finish, deluxe grade Ebony fingerboard with a real hard wood inlaid epaulets and Ebony bridge. Add in Ovation’s Original Patented Pickup and OP Pro Studio preamp. Included with this guitar is a deluxe Ovation Hardshell.

It has one of the most awesome huge acoustic sounds we have ever heard in an Ovation. The action is low and fast and plays so easily and is easy on your fingers. This bass response gives a super great sound from the newly designed body. The highs are pristine and the mids are very well balanced.

This one is equipped with a great new OP Pro Studio electronics system that lets you have a clean amplified accurate acoustic sound when plugged in. The new Op-Pro Studio  Preamp is voiced to give you arena-sized sound with a minimum of eq gymnastics. Every improvement comes directly from the needs of pro players and sound engineers. It also has the best tuner onboard that is available today. The Ovation Pickup System has six separate elements to sense both string and top vibration, giving you a better string-to-string balance, no matter what string type or gauge you use.

One of the best of these new upgrades is the new lighter weight Lyrachord Body. For the first time ever, the Round Back Design has been altered to a much more comfortable contour shape to fit the player much more comfortably. The smooth, hard composite Lyrachord GS body improves projection and reflects top vibrations better than traditional material and is now even lighter and stronger.
