Up for the taking is the best Gibson double-cut archtop electric guitar I have ever encountered. This guitar is 100% original with the exception that the two original Pattern applied for pick-ups (PAF's) are excluded. It comes with ORIGINAL TUNERS-ORIGINAL NICKEL HARDWARE-ORIGINAL TAIL PIECE WITH BARNEY KESSEL NAME PLAQUE-ORIGINAL KNOBS-ORIGINAL RYTHM/TREBLE SWITCH-ORIGINAL POTS-ORIGINAL PICKGUARD-ORIGINAL TRUSS ROD COVER-ORIGINAL FRETS-ORIGINAL VINTAGE GIBSON BROWN HARDSHELL CASE - (SEE PHOTOS) - ALL ORIGINAL AND CAN BE RESTORED TO 100% BY REINSTALLING TWO ORIGINAL PAF'S GIBSON HUMBUCKERS.. It is truly a collector's item investment. Barney kessel guitars of the Early sixties models with PAFS are moving in the $6500-$7200 range. The BK's are guitars that are rapidly going up in the vintage market.....(see htpp://vintage-guitars.blogspot.com) This guitar is being sold as is and no refunds, and rather should RAISE all of the collectors' EYE-BROWS. This guitar once restored with two original PAF's...guaranteed will sound so good, it just has that vintage jazz magic tone that smooth jazz musicians are hoping for. It's the cleanest and best sounding doule-cut archtop vintage guitar that comes with original PAF humbuckers. I am very meticulous when it comes to what I buy and sell. It has to meet COLLECTOR'S NEEDS just as this great looking and great sounding vintage guitar. The photos display the guitar's 100% original vintage condition. A 1964 guitar like this one just is selling for $5,900.00 (see www.guitarandbanjo.com). Feel free to send email questions, I'll answer to the best of my knowledge and observation. Moreover, this is a beautiful, bone stock and clean 1962 Gibson vintage electric guitar. Unlike just about every other vintage guitar you will see on eBay (especially after you work your way through the auction's fine print), this guitar is original, from the tuners through the pots, knobs, tail piece and bridge, etc...it even comes with the original price tag from 1962, $435,00 for the guitar and $56.00 for the case (see photo)! The detailed photos tell the story here in terms of vintage and originality and other details that will confirm all of this to anyone who knows what he (or she) is looking at. Cosmetically, it is in excellent condition for its age. In person, the guitar's color is cherry sunburst and looks extra-flamey on its backside. There is something very special about a 100% original, well-maintained vintage Gibson guitar, as it gives you the opportunity to hear the guitar exactly as Gibson intended it and as it would have sounded to the person who brought it home new. This one will sound truly vintage, firmly in PAF Vintage territory once reinstalled, with much the same volume, clarity, guts and break-up when pushed, with the bonus of a very fine vintage tone effect which makes it so much better. The serial number on the guitar I believe is 62067 from what I can make out since it's very difficult to read. THIS GUITAR COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL VINTAGE GIBSON BROWN HARDSHELL CASE AND THE ORIGINAL PRICE TAG!!! GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING!!! |
