| This is a VINTAGE ENCORE ACOUSTIC GUITAR that I got in a trade several months ago. This guitar is MADE IN JAPAN, and you can definitely tell by the craftsmanship, This guitar has some nicks, chips, and dings here and there with most of the wear along the edges, but the finish still retains much of its original luster and beauty. I have never seen a finish like this on an acoustic guitar before. It is gorgeous. I love the look of an old guitar that you can tell has been carried around and played. It gives it character. Sure, this guitar has some battle scars, but they are nothing you wouldn't expect for a guitar that is thirty to forty years old, as this one is, and it appears to be entirely sound structurally. The winning bidder will need to put some new strings on this guitar, and one of the little pegs that holds the strings in the bridge is missing, so it will need to be replaced. I think they cost a dollar or two, and you have to put them in everytime you change the strings anyway, so that's no big deal. I've thought about cleaning this guitar up, putting some fresh strings on it, and hanging on to it, but honestly, I already have WAY too many acoustics around here. I hope someone who will really love this guitar wins the bidding, strings it up, and really plays it like it needs to be played. It's just collecting dust around here.
