For auction – RARE 2003 GRETSCH Electromatic SPARKLE JET with New “New Yorker gig bag. Last year this model was made!!

The ENTIRE body, neck and headstock is COSMETICALLY minty fresh Like-New. Not a scratch, ding, or scrape ANYWHERE. The electronics all work fine as well. I couldn’t believe the excellent condition I found this guitar in AND the amazing Gretsch designed Humbucker Pick Ups delivers that great legendary Gretsch sound they’re known for. This solid body beauty is quality KOREAN Made, NOT China. Better quality & finish! I hate to tell ya but YES, all lower and mid level Gretsch & Epiphone solid body electrics as well as Fender & Guild acoustics are Now made in China. Sad but true. For whatever reason the Koreans just put out a better product. Even the highly popular Paul Reed Smith lower and mid level guitars are also Korean made. Here is YOUR CHANCE to own a piece of ROCK N ROLL HISTORY, don't blow it.

IMPORTANT you read “Please Note below.

Here is what the “Gretsch Pages dot com says about the Electromatic Sparkle Jet:

The mere existence Synchromatic line may be one of the more baffling Gretsch mysteries of recent years — maybe decades. The revered Synchromatic name, traditionally reserved for high-end acoustic archtops, was plastered across a dizzying array of Korean-made guitars which were themselves near-clones of the Electromatic line offered at the same time.

Like the Electromatics, the Gretsch Synchromatic line of guitars debuted in 1999. Nobody could keep track of all the models, not even Gretsch, and all three lines of budget guitars were merged into a single (and much-improved) Electromatic line-up in 2003. However due to poor sales, the production of this model ends.

PLEASE NOTE - Very common for these models to have SERIAL NUMBER on a little sticker. This one removed by previous owner.

1- There is one buzz only on the first fret of the first string. My luthier said a simple fret adjustment will take care of it.

2- As mentioned, the body, neck & headstock is cosmetically in MINT condition but the chrome on the metal knobs is showing signs of fade and there is light pitting on the pickups BUT THE VERY LOW STARTING PRICE REFLECTS ALL THIS.

2- This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. I can't stand Reserve Price Auctions.
