| This Taylor model GS8 Grand Symphony was made in the USA in 2007. It has a special Bob Taylor shaped, based on the Grand Auditorium but with stretched upper bouts and a wider waste. It has an grained ivoroid multi-bound solid sitka spruce top with a round soundhole w/ multi-ring rosette, including abalone. Natural gloss finish. Indian rosewood with striking figuring sides and grained ivoroid-bound two piece back also have gloss natural finish. Set mahogany neck has grained ivoroid heel cap. Bound 20 fret ebony fingerboard w/ abalone microdot inlays. Headstock has a rosewood pegface w/ natural gloss finish & pearl logo inlay. Rosewood truss rod cover & gold-finished sealed tuners. Ebony bridge has compensated saddle, abalone dot black bridge pins. This GS8 has a very comfortable, smooth, rounded neck and excellent action. The tone is very sweet, yet full and powerful.
