Original 1969 Fender Strat "Staggered Pole" Bridge Pickup, shows 6.42 ohms. It has the cloth covered lead wires and the staggered pole design. This is an awesome sounding "low output" pickup. The low output allows the tone to shine through without the garble and mud you get with high output pickups. So for someone looking for that sound, and you know what it is, this will work.
This pickup was removed from a 1969 strat around 1980. It was put into a build-up guitar around that time, which I then purchased in 1986. I did not remove it from the original guitar. I date it by the staggered poles; the cloth wire; the bobbin material; the winding wire; and what the person told me it was taken from.
It has 2 "dents" in the winding. My guess is these were made when the pickup was in hiatus in a parts bin. It comes with the cover and mounting hardware (mounting hardware not original, but correct fit). I have seen these pickups sell for as high as $400 each. This one, I am lowering the price because of the dents in the windings, which matters little, as the pickup still works very well.
PAYPAL ONLY, instant payment required !! Will guarantee money back within 7 days if the pickup is returned unmodified and undamaged. ![]() | |
