| Up for auction is a Near Mint 2007 Taylor T5C2 Acoustic-Electric Guitar with Premium Custom Macassar Ebony top !!! This guitar is breathtaking in person ... "Macassar" ... striped ebony. The outstanding grade of Macassar Taylor used on this one features the rare patchwork figuring instead of the more common elongated striped figure. The finish is deep and lustrous ... very difficult to photograph with the high gloss top coat. You can't touch anything like this outside of a custom shop order and you definitely won't get one at this price! But don't be fooled by its killer good looks; this baby is a tone machine. Words can't describe the versatility of this guitar. The acoustic to electric transition made possible by the T5 electronics is simply amazing and all are available at your fingertips via the easy access 5-way switch located on the top side of the Taylor T5. Just pick your tone and tweak it using the Volume, Resonance (bass) and Detail (treble) controls located on top of the T5. Dialing in your desired tone has never been easier ... the tones in your head seem to come alive. It sounds phenomenal plugged into all my amps (both acoustic and electric) as well as my PA and it absolutely shines recorded. Want sonic bliss ?? Run it through your favorite electric amp and acoustic amp (or PA) at he same time ... huge tone is an understatement. Now a little bit more about the electronics: * T5 CMR air-coil rear pickup - this is the pickup you can see coming through the top near the bridge of the guitar. When played through an electric amp, this pickup can go from Tele-like sounds to Gretsch-like to full-blown humbucker. * T5 Dynamic neck pickup - buried in the neck joint, this pickup can sound warm and woody or fat and rowdy. * T5 Dynamic body sensor - inspired by the research on the Expression System, the T5 body sensors are overwound to produce the sparkling highs and shimmer for the most acoustic-like switch position. * T5 Preamp and EQ - the preamp was designed to deliver a wide range of tones in every switch position.
