The Multiac Duet is equipped with a dual source system comprised of the L.R. BaggsTM I-Beam transducer, blended with an under-saddle transducer. The I-Beam is a directionally sensitive body pickup, which is attached to the inside of the guitar top. The I-Beam produces superior dynamic response and frequency range. The I-Beam signal is routed through a specially designed preamp where it is mixed with the signal from the under-saddle transducer. The Multiac I-Beam Duet equipped instruments include a 1/4" output along with a balanced XLR output that is capable of retrieving phantom power for the guitar preamp.

The top of the Steel string Multiac incorporates a modern variation on the classic X-brace. The "U" shaped acoustic guitar neck shape and shallow body of this guitar makes it exceptionally comfortable to play.
