I am a 5 yr+ member of the Acoustic Guitar Forum and have a perfect eBay feedback. This is a wonderful, unplayed 2002 Taylor 714 - no cutaway, no electronics, just pure acoustic beauty. I checked with Taylor, and it seems that this particular guitar has higher quality rosewood back and sides, as well as a three-peice back, adding both beauty and uniqueness to this perfect instrument. I love the three piece back, the three grain patterns are so pretty to look at - no doubt one of Taylors best efforts here, I'd love to see a three peice back be standard, but it is usually only offered as a custom order or on Taylor's Limited Editions, which command a hefty price premium. Taylor customer service told me that the three peice back was used because of the limited amount of top quality rosewood, so a three peice back was created rather than using lesser quality rosewood for this particular guitar. They were unable to tell me if this was a special order with master-grade rosewood, but close inspection by me tells me that seems likely. I beleive this guitar was custom ordered with a three peice back and upgraded Indian Rosewood back and sides, but customer service had no information on this for me, so this is my estimation having owned, bought and sold many Taylors, and I could not confirm it with Taylor. The top is Western Red Cedar, and this particular guitar's top is incredibly tightly grained - this is the best and prettiest Cedar top I've personally seen on a guitar. I have a new Taylor GA7 with Western Red Cedar top, and this top is better quality aesthetically. I have quite a guitar collection, and am quite honest about the condition and quality of the insturments I sell, as my perfect eBay feedback will attest. Not a ding or scratch on it that I could see in my close inspection. I have sold many guitars on ebay, so you can bid with confidence, as I have 100% perfect feedback. This guitar has rosewood binding and a beautiful koa rosette, which are only available as special order options now (current bindings on the GA7 - the new name for the 714 - are plastic, not wood), adding hundreds of dollars to the cost if you want wood binding on a new guitar. This is your chance to own a vintage 2002 guitar in mint condition. I beleive in 100% disclosure, and I this guitar looks 100% new from the factory. Comes with original Taylor deluxe hard shell luggage case, as well as blank registration card. This is a special guitar, which has opened up beautifully. I will ship it professionally packed in a Taylor box. So here is your chance to get a great deal on a perfect 714, which is upgraded beyond anything comparable on the market in terms of Taylor 714's. No returns on this item, which is my normal policy, so please only bid if you want to own the guitar. I'm not a dealer, just someone who loves guitars, and buys and sells a lot of them, so I can't deal with returns. MSRP was $2,798 The details on the guitar are below - please email me with any questions! Great chance to own a great Taylor from a seller with perfect feedback. Good luck! http://www.taylorguitars.com/Guitars/Archive/Older/archive/models.asp?id=714
