Vintage Silvertone model 1415 guitar (Danelectro U-1) from the late 50's/early 60's I believe.  This is a great playing little axe with a nice flat neck and it has that classic danelectro-lipstick pickup sound.  There are the normal nicks and scratches that come with a 50 year old guitar.  The neck is straight with just the right amount of curve to it.  It is currently strung with 11-48 Ernie Ball "power slinkys".  The action is a little higher than most players like (I prefer higher action, myself), so you might want to adjust the bridge to fit your preference.  If you'll notice, the previous owner of this guitar removed the paint from back of the neck and it appears re-laquered it.  I was told the reason for doing so was to make it play smoother and be less sticky feeling on your hand.  The neck does feel smooth and plays with ease. You can notice if you look close where a small amount of the original black paint is worn on the body, that the guitar was originally copper colored before it was sold to Sears.  This guitar was a copper-colored Danelectro that was painted black for Sears to be sold as Silvertone.  The original clear pickguard is missing; the toggle switch and input jack were recently replaced.  The original cardboard case is included, although you must be delicate when moving the guitar in it as the old cardboard is weak after all these years.  Stand (pictured) is not included.

PayPal Only.  Payment is expected with 3 days after the auction ends.  I will ship within 1-3 business days after receiving payment.  The guitar will be well packed and insured for the selling price.  Shipping is a flat rate of $40 to the United States only (excluding Hawaii and Alaska).  For shipping to Hawaii or Alaska email me first for a quote before bidding.
