Up for auction is this beautiful Taylor K55 12-string guitar. It features:
- Hawaiian Koa back/sides
- Engelmann spruce top
- Jumbo 12-string body style
- Ebony bridge, fretboard, and headstock overlay
- Abalone soundhole rosette and top purfling
- Tortoiseshell binding
- Gold-plated Grover tuners
- Tropical American mahogany neck
One of Taylor's coveted Koa 12-strings. The Engelmann spruce top gives this guitar lots of shimmer and punch, with the Koa supplying lots of warmth and volume. Like many other Koa and Walnut Taylor 12-strings, this guitar definitely has the "chorus of angels" thing going on. Comes with original hardshell case.
Cosmetically, this guitar has a couple of minor issues. There is a 4mm finish ding on the top - it does NOT go into the wood. And, there's a bit of wear on the top left of the front of the headstock.
