This auction is for a set of two reproduction prints from the 1959 United States patent for vintage P90 'Soapbar' guitar pickups. Charles Schultz filed his application for this invention on September 14, 1954 and was granted a patent on November 10, 1959. In the mean time, the Gibson Les Paul guitars were introduced and the world of popular music (and guitar collecting!) would never be the same. There are two separate patent drawings included in this auction and each will be provided on artist quality, acid-free, 60-pound parchment style paper as shown above.
