| These pegs are not actually from a Hofner Beatle Bass, they are actually from a late 60's thin hollow body electric. They are, however, indenticle to the pegs used on some late 60's and early 70's Beatle Basses. They have metal rather than white plastic buttons, white plastic being what Hofner usually used. This is a set of 6 pegs, but the back is missing from one of them, and I can only find 4 of the bushings so far, but I'll keep looking. There are alot more Beatle Basses out there than electric 6 strings, so that's why I listed them as such, and Yes, Hofner bass strings Will fit through the holes in the posts. The pegs are not rusty. What looks like rust is really old grease that can be cleaned off easily.
