Acquired this guitar on trade from a local customer of mine.  As you can see, it is in excellent overall condition.  This Eagle's original Made In U.S.A. DiMarzio pickups (Super-Distortion ?) absolutely scream and sound amazing!  There is no fretwear; action is low-as-can-be, neck is straight, and play is like butter, as a result.  This guitar has a 24.75" scale length and features a neck-through design as well as unique Grover tuning machines.

• chipping around the body's edge
• some dings, none severe
• chip on top of body, below bridge
• chip between nut and low E tuning machine, on edge of headstock
• headstock has some chips at top edge
• finish just under high E tuning machine has bubble
• the plastic jack guard is cracked (guitar body underneath is okay!)
  

I think it is also worth noting that this was the first time the pickups have been taken off since this guitar was manufactured.  It appears that the finish was still somewhat wet when the pickups were originally installed -- rosin-type glaze acted as glue holding down bridge pickup's ring.  As I carefully removed the bridge pickup to get a picture of its underside, things were a little sticky, which is why I did not attempt to remove the neck pickup as well.

This guitar is 100% Made In the USA! 

This BC Rich Eagle features a Neal Moser active transistor-based preamp circuit.  Click on the following image to see a large version of the schematic (note that this Eagle's volume knobs are wired a little differently than the schematic indicates):



Functions of the Knobs & Switches:

• Neck Pickup Volume Knob
  
• Toggle Switch (Up: neck pickup; Middle: both; Down: bridge pickup)
• Bridge Pickup Volume Knob
  
• Tone Knob
  
• Rotary Varitone Switch (selects different capacitor combinations on circuit shown above; each setting as the switch ascends acts as an incremental low roll-off)
• Passive -> Active Switch (silver, between bridge pup vol. knob and varitone switch; note that the passive setting is quite loud and the active is verrrrry loud thanks to that preamp!)
• Polarity (Phasing) Switch
• Last two switches are wired directly to pickups, individually, enabling coil-tapping for each pickup
  

The tone and voicing variations made available by this guitar makes it unlike any other guitar out there!
