VERY NICE STAGG MODEL SW201BK-VT GLOSS BLACK, SINGLE-CUTAWAY DREADNAUGHT 6-STRING ACOUSTIC-ELECTRIC GUITAR **** LOW STARTING BID **** I am selling several guitars that have been favorites in my personal collection. I hate doing this, because I love these instruments...these are my babies. One such guitar is this Stagg Electric-Acoustic Black beauty. I've enjoyed so much owning it. As can be seen in the photos, this solid 41-inch acoustic-electric guitar is designed with the classic dreadnought deep body shape for a rich full sound and excellent projection, and a single cut-away bottom. The guitar has a maple neck with a dark-stained maple ovalled bound fingerboard (with side markers) for easy playing and a smooth feel, and pearlized dot position markers (see first photo). The compensated bridge is also stained maple. The top (soundboard), sides, and back are basswood--contributing to its excellent projection. The action (distance from the strings to the frets) is very low making this guitar extremely easy to play with little effort. The maple bridge maximizes the instrument's bass response and further enhances its projection. Chrome closed tuning gears insure accurate and stable tuning. The high-gloss black finish looks great with it's white binding (edge trim) around the body and up the fretboard. The under-saddle passive pickup (no batteries required) features SN-II controls with volume and tone controls. Complete and ready to play, (strings will be loosened for shipment). Model SW201BK-VT, S/N 0607-10140292 (Stagg List Price is $219) Closed-gear, chromed tuning machines in excellent condition Clear coat black finish all over with white binding and trim Maple ovalled and bound fingerboard with white inlay dots and black side markers. Fully adjustable truss-rod (truss rod wrench included) Strings in good condition (I wipe them off after each play) Beautiful but simple inlaid rosette This guitar is beautifully made and sweet-sounding; rich highs and deep lows in tone quality--whether using an amplifier or simply playing acoustic! It has pleasing sound you would expect from a much more expensive guitar, which is why I originally purchased it (and originally intended to keep it). If you are looking for a nice guitar that has great sound and the versatility to sound magnificent whether amplified or not, you've found it here. The guitar has great low action--it has been adjusted low to make it easy to play. The strings are about 1/32 above the frets at the 1st fret and about 1/8" at the 12th fret. There are no cracks or any other structural issues--the guitar is kept in a climate controlled (temperature and humidity) area--as is recommended for guitars to maintain their integrity. There is one minor surface scratch. I've tried to capture it in the photos and believe that I've done a pretty good job of doing so. There are other small scuff areas so small that I'm unable to get them to show in the photos. The finish overall is very glossy and pretty--and the pickguard is in good condition--with very minor surface "strum-scuff" which is normal for a used guitar (I've tried to show this in the photo) . The rosette (soundhole trim) is tastefully done so it just complements the overall good looks of this guitar. The neck is straight and solidly attached with no issues. The minor flaws described are all that I have found wrong with this instrument, and until I get my Martin out of layaway it has been one of my favorite acoustic-electric guitars to play (I also have a 12-string acoustic-electric not for sale)--mainly due to ease of play and sound quality, and the ability to amplify if desired. I have to sell this guitar, as well as many of the others in my personal collection, to pay for a Martin guitar that I recently put in layaway. LOW STARTING BID!!! I WILL ALSO SEND TO THE WINNING BIDDER: An instruction sheet on the care of stringed instruments--which includes information on 'first steps out of the box' once you receive the instrument. This sheet discusses care and storage, and also contains an illustrated picture of a guitar showing the proper names of its various components and where they're located on the guitar (string nut, bridge, rosette, etc). * * * Please note my feedback ratings...I describe my items accurately and I communicate with you throughout the sale--letting you know when your item has shipped--including tracking numbers etc when applicable. Read my "Me" description to learn more about who you are buying from. Thank you for looking!!! I CAN SHIP ONLY WITHIN THE 50 UNITED STATES--NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS PLEASE. PREFERRED PAYMENT METHOD IS PAYPAL, BUT IF YOU WISH, YOU MAY SEND A U.S. POSTAL SERVICE MONEY ORDER. IF YOU CHOOSE TO PAY WITH A MONEY ORDER (MUST BE A U.S. POSTAL SERVICE MONEY ORDER), YOU MUST COMMUNICATE THIS TO ME SO THAT I KNOW TO EXPECT YOUR PAYMENT BY THAT METHOD. REGARDLESS OF YOUR PAYMENT METHOD, PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION. This instrument has a reserve price. A reserve price--although typically less than the "Buy It Now" price--is private to the seller, so please do not inquire about it. Thank you. ![]() | |
