| Fernandes AFR-150S Strat killer! This was Fernandes guitar’s flagship model in 1996, and retailed for $1800. They just don’t make them like this anymore. The choice of woods, the pickups and all of the hardware are top notch. Sustainer pickup in the neck position holds your notes until the battery dies, or until you die, whichever comes first. The Floyd Rose trem is in excellent condition. Fret life estimated at 90-95%. The design of the guitar is unique, with the thick maple cap thinning towards the top of the bout and ending a few inches from the top leaving the mahogany base showing. Maple neck with ebony board. Very few of these guitars were made and you will only see them rarely for sale. This one originally belonged to Stevie Salas, Rod Stewart’s guitarist at one point. This model was also used by Andreas Kisser of Sepultra. Rarely used, and lovingly cared for, I’m putting it up on the block for a very reasonable start price with no reserve. If you are a player or a collector, you really can’t go wrong with this example of the finest in Japanese craftsmanship. This is probably the finest guitar Fernandes has ever made. In truly excellent condition with only the expected minimal burnishing of the gold plated parts. No real issues.You could spend a lot more on a guitar with no real merit other than a brand name. This axe delivers. The pictures tell the story- a blend of flame and quilt, you can practically fall into this guitar's 3-D finish. Nearly flawless with no damage to speak of. Will be shipped carefully, without strings but I will put a new set of GHS Eric Johnson lights in the case along with the original tremolo bar.
