Rickenbacker Electro Lap steel with original brown case in excellent condition, all original, sounds ripping as you would expect. Not an expert on dating these, but I believe it's from the late '60's/early 70's.

Overall it's an easy 9/10 condition. I've not see one so clean before. Even the case is awesome shape. There are a couple of imperfections as evidenced in the last two pix, some other very minor blemishes that aren't very noticeable-- really overall, it's quite impressive.

  No pitting on the chrome, no bent tuners, electronics are clean, pots are smooth, all the hardware is in great shape.

The horseshoe pick-up is very strong and balanced sounding, and this solid wood steel has tons of sustain, I think in part because the finish isn't heavy, and it lets the wood breathe and resonate, and that it's a solid(continuous)wood headstock that translates the string vibration very effectively.

Honestly, the pick-up and electronics are worth their weight in gold these days, and for good reason--like a  jumbo P90 trying to electrify a baby grand. Sounds killer clean, and dirty tones are full of grit, attitude, largeness--really, this lap sounds like a  super woody version of the earlier coveted bakelites(plastic). We all like wood in our guitars, don't we??

Case is devoid of smells and funk--all latches work and are smooth. The color is less candy apple red than what shows in the pix(pix 1 and 3 are the closest), and is more translucent and less shiny. You can see the wood grain easily, and there's some cool wavy-ness going on.

 This package is collector worthy for sure, and it honestly pains me to sell. This is a great one!
