This auction is for the most incredible truss rod cover ever made for your Taylor guitar. This is also available for other truss rod cover designs, but this one is up for auction here!

This is not a veneer of any type. It is the real deal.  As are all my inlays. Hand made one at a time!  No CNC machine involved, or any type of digital cutting, laser or otherwise.

This truss rod cover inlay not "overlay." There is a big difference. Specifically inlays are routed and glued into to wood via heavy duty epoxies. There is no way it is ever coming out. Overlays however are the bane of inlay artists. Overlays are cheep to do and take very little time and resources to produce, that is why some companies produce products using overlays.... to cut costs ... and quality. An overlay is very thin sheets of shell that are cut with succors or even glued down to wood and routed with an engraving machine or by hand basically like a sticker. This terrible process will produce a product with a very high likely hood of flaking or simply fall off, and time is an overlay's enemy.

I DO NOT DO ANY OVERLAY PRODUCTS.

Everything on my truss rod covers is shell or wood, no etching or tinting on any of my work. The industry standard that inlay artists use is shell material about .06" thick! Enough said.  

As you can even discern in these pictures these truss rod covers reflect light from all angles. Yet pictures do no justice to all of the shimmering colors in these incredible TRCS!!
