    In this auction you are bidding one Brand New German Hofner Bridge. The German Hofner Bridge has virtually been untouched in designed for over 50 years and has been a proven bridge for the Hofner Beatle Bass. You already know that everyone is out of this bridge and we are down to critical stock and only a few more to be offered on Ebay. We were able to obtain a large order of Genuine Hofner Bridges and other Hofner parts made by ABM of Germany before they went out of business. ABM was owned by Klaus Muller and Sons of Germany producing guitar parts for many other guitar companies from the early 50s up until late 2007. In addition to the Hofner Bridge, ABM also produced the Hofner Pickguard Lift and the Short and Long Hofner Tailpieces. ABM has been on Hofners from their beginnings back in the 1950's and back in the day when parts were marked "MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY" to distinguish it from an Eastern Germany made part. ABM hardware is now history and we are waiting for the new company in Berlin to start manufacture of these parts. We have no doubts that the new company will make these parts in the same quality as ABM but production time is mid 2008 and pre production samples have yet to be sent for critique and approval. However, this is THE LAST opportunity to obtain a True Hofner Bridge ! The Bridge is made of Hard Black Ebony with white accents on the lateral ends. German Hofners are cursed with Neck problems and Neck Resets usually require a new bridge as the original bridge is usually shaved so low by the owner to get the action down. However when necks are reset, the bridge has lost it's height and cannot go high enough to reach the original position. Post Neck Resets, will always require a new Bridge. The German Made Bridge again is made of HARD BLACK EBONY and IS NOT made of the lighter ROSEWOOD material found on other replacement bridges and the Asian produced ICON bass. These are brand new direct from Germany and packaged in a Westvaco Glassine Envelope for protection.
