The fretless version of the lean-and-mean Standard Jazz Bassincorporates many of the original model’s classic Fender “firsts,� suchas the offset waist and ultra-slim fast-action neck. It’s updated herewith two bi-pole pickups and American Jazz Bass knobs, giving you thebest of both worlds and eras—some vintage vibe and appointments withsome modern refinements. The S1 switching allows the pickups to go fromseries to parallel. This is a discontinued model, so pick it up whileyou can! Our versatile American Jazz Bass guitar features the innovative S-1™ switching system, which gives you great Jazz Bass guitar tones from one instrument. Pushing the S-1 switch reconfigures the pickup wiring from parallel to series, resulting in a fatter, almost humbucking sound similar to that of a Precision. Other features include a graphite-reinforced, modern C-shaped maple neck with a satin polyurethane finish and maple fingerboard. Bass will be shipped in the original Fender case.
