| This is a vintage 1980s Charvel neck with a strat headstock. This neck has never been used or even mounted on a guitar. This neck was purchased from a local guitar shop in the mid 80's. The shop was a Charvel/Jackson dealer and the owner of the shop was a friend of Grover Jackson and also had a good friend who was a VP of Charvel/Jackson at IMC. I'm not sure if this neck was from before or after IMC bought Charvel/Jackson as it was purchased right around that time (probably after). I do know that these necks were not readily available and the shop owner was able to get a few due to his connection with either Grover or the IMC exec. This neck has set on a shelf for 20+ years. It has never been used and has never had tuners mounted or been drilled for neck screws (see photos). It is maple with black dots. It has 22 jumbo frets. The nut blank is not glued in but fits snug. The neck measures 1 5/8" wide at the nut, 2" wide at the 12th fret and 2 1/8" wide at the 22nd fret. It measure 2 3/16" wide at end of the heel (where it fits into neck pocket). Neck is very straight and truss rod is in good working order. There is no finish on the neck (this is the way it came). Neck is in excellent condition. Again, it has set on a shelf for over 20 years so there is some darkening of the wood and smudges from age and dust. There are a few tiny nicks here and there and a minor scratch on the back from handling but overall very nice, excellent and NOS. No cracks, breaks or repairs. Fret work is very nice and neck has a very comfortable feel. I guarantee this neck to be '80s and that the details stated above are factual.
