- 2004 Martin OM Night Dive in near-mint condition. I say near-mint just in case I've missed some tiny flaw but I certainly didn't notice any problems during a close inspection of this unique and truly spectacular guitar. This is a very limited edition Martin and is #5 of only 13 OM Night Dive models in the entire world! There were also 7 D Night Dives made bringing the combined edition total to only 20 guitars. I'm including a Martin customer service e-mail verifying these numbers.
- I'm including all the hang tags, Owner's Manual, case key, etc. I've removed the end strap pin for shipping safety and have stored it in the case compartment with the key. I'm also including a copy of Grit Laskin's book, "A Guitarmaker's Canvas: The Inlay Art of Grit Laskin." This book has two pages devoted to describing the Night Dive guitar and lists the exotic cultured stones and other materials used for the inlays. I'm also including a 13"x18" dealer poster (suitable for framing) announcing the D & OM Night Dive Limited Edition guitar. - Black Boltaron binding with Abalone Pearl top inlay
- Modified V neck with volute
- Solid Ebony headplate, fingerboard and bridge
- Custom Night Dive inlay on headplate and fingerboard
- Schaller chrome tuning machines with Large Ebony Knobs
- The1 3/4" neck has 14 frets clear and a total of 20 in a scale length of25.4".
- The finish is polished gloss and aging toner for the top
- The Interior paper label is signed by Grit Laskin, Larry Sifel, Chuck Erikson, and CFM IV and is numbered in sequence (#5 of 100).
- The six-latch locking TKL hard-shell case has a black crushed velour lining and fits the guitar very snugly.
- The previous owner substituted a high-quality TKL case for the Black exterior/Teal interior Calton case that originally came with this guitar. I believe the previous owner has already registered the guitar with Martin. My only modification has been the installation of a beautiful Bob Colosi Buffalo Horn & Abalone strap pin to the heel of this guitar so that it can be more safely played by using a strap at all times.
- The tone of this guitar is simply spectacular! How could it be otherwise with that incredible Brazilian Rosewood and Bearclaw Spruce? The bass-treble balance is very even and the harmonics are beautiful. I'm going to miss this guitar but my wife says I have too many anyway!
