| This guitar is a beautiful example of a Gretsch jazz guitar. It is very rare. In thirty five years in the guitar business I have only seen one other Gretsch Fleetwood. According to one of the guitar books the Fleetwood became the succesor to the Gretsch Eldorado made famous by Count Basie guitarist Freddie Green. The guitar is highly flamed. Please note: The Gold Dearmond Is Not Included In This Auction: The guitar sounds great whether playing four to the bar or single notes. Please note the water damage on the back of the guitar. I am not sure if it is water damage but it kind of looks like it. It has been like that for many years and is really the only thing wrong with this guitar. The guitar in real life is flamed to death. I ship world wide but buyer pays all shipping. Email for shipping quote. Lower 48 shipping is $ 60.00. Please do not ask me to falsify customs documents or deal outside of ebay. I prefer the protection ebay offers. My reserve is quite a bit lower than my buy it now price so someone might get lucky. On Aug-21-08 at 05:27:37 PDT, seller added the following information: This guitar is from the personal collection of rocker J.Geils of the J.Geils Band and comes with a letter stating the provenance of the guitar. ![]() | |
