you are looking at a Godin Radiator that has been HIGHLY customized into a super hot-rodded monster of a little guitar! Originally fitted with a white pearl faceplate and Godin single coil pickups (which are included), this Godin now features a custom manufactured, one-off solid aluminum faceplate by Sharp Concepts of California. The faceplate is fitted with Seymour Duncan SM-1 and SM-3 mini humbuckers (Firebird pickups) with chrome rings, CTS pots, milled chrome Tele-style knobs for master volume and tone and a Switchcraft pickup switch (which the Radiator sorely lacked). The cheap bridge has been replaced with a heavy Schaller 475 top loading roller bridge mounted on a piece of rosewood modeled after the H*mer sustain block concept. The tuners are upgraded to Grover midsize 18 to 1 ratio tuners. The 24 fret maple neck with rosewood fingerboard is in excellent condition with virtually no fret wear and plays like a dream-thin taper and very fast-it has a 12" to 16" radius-VERY flat and a blast to fly around on. The frets are big and somewhat tall-not super big, but bigger than F*nder vintage style. The aluminum faceplate has been "ghetto brushed"- distressed to give it a well worn look. All this new hardware adds at least a pound or more to the overall weight of the instrument, giving a more solid and substantial feel. All of these upgrades are valued at more than $400 (the faceplate alone was $165) and make this Godin truly one of a kind! You can really hear the tone of the aluminum and the chambered maple body-very unique and very cool! The original faceplate, pickups and bridge are NOT included.  Also, the little "Radiator cool sound" screw-down logo plate is not included-it broke apart when removing! I'm sure Godin could provide another one if you really want it. Includes decent non-original gigbag. If you have any questions, please ask. Thanks for looking!

FYI-the aluminum plate can be re-polished or more elegantly brushed if you want to change the appearance-it's not coated or lacquered in any way. I was going for a worn kind of old aircraft look with the "ghetto brush" technique (not my phrase, it's what the hod rod guys call it). I like the look, but if you want to dress it up a little, get out your steel wool or grinder and go for it!
