Up for auction is one very fine Rickenbacker 4001v63 withoriginal vintage silver hard shell case. This bass was manufactured in November 1997 and I purchased it onDecember 31, 1999, receipts included.

Currently strung with Ken Smith Stainless Steel Round wounds,45 65 80 100, the neck is straight and true, the action is medium high bychoice, but can be set up surprisingly low.

I have removed the horseshoe pickup surrounds to facilitate fingerstyle near the pickup.  They will beincluded if you wish to install them.

This bass is very comfortable to play as there is no bodybinding to dig into your forearm.

The wood is a discreetly figured rock maple with some Birdseyefreckles here and there, and a little flame burl above the pick guard.

All electronics and pickups are original and untampered.

This is going to be very painful to part with this one, thefinest bass in my collection, and I sincerely hope it goes to a good home.
